Perfuro certainly blew a storm for me!

The designs and colours are fabulous and stylish.

The Synoptic Series Coldfront jersey and shorts were well-packed in individual plastic, sealable bags.

I selected sizes using the size charts on the website. Being a lumpy old man with a funny-shaped dad bod, I always open cycling kit with a bit of trepidation in case the sizes are way out, but the measurements were perfect. And so was the fit.

I was worried. I don’t look the best in body-hugging fabric and I am extremely self-conscious of my lumpiness, but Perfuro’s Martin assured me that “nobody looks bad in my gear.” I reckon he might be right.

Perfuro is made using Italian fabric and it’s very gentle on the skin. Also gentle is the lack of protruding seams, which means there are no skin abrasions. Tokyo in early August is fiercely hot and the humidity is suffocating; perfect conditions for generating a sweat in anyone. The kit absorbed the perspiration well and stayed dry, avoiding chafing and keeping the body cool. The chamois is a great fit and made for a comfortable ride. The designs and colours are also fabulous and stylish.

On top of all this, you get them for a fraction of the price you’d expect to pay for an equivalent quality cycling kit.

Martin thinks of the everyday needs of riders in the design and manufacture of his cycling kit. The jersey is very comfortable and you can feel the difference in the high-quality fabric he uses. It’s breathable, fitted but not tight and the texture has a great feel. The knicks provide good compression and the chamois has padding where it’s needed for longer rides. Most importantly, his designs will make sure you will look good in the bunch!

Love It!

I love the material, love the size of the pockets, love the fit, love the colours – LOVE IT. Although cycling shorts have the tendency to feel uncomfortable around the waist if they are not bibs, these shorts did not have that problem! Looking forward to seeing what Perfuro comes out with in the future.

It’s called Perfuro Gear, Latin for ‘to Storm’. No Storms today but wonderful weather to ride this unique Aussie kit. Extremely comfortable and well-fitting fabrics – it feels like a second skin. It’s called Perfuro Gear, Latin for ‘to Storm’. No Storms today but wonderful weather to ride this unique Aussie kit. Extremely comfortable and well-fitting fabrics – it feels like a second skin. The high-quality Italian fabric wicks sweat away and kept me cool in the hot afternoon sun.
The Chamois (from world leaders Elastic Interface) feels particularly good – thin and relatively discreet but firm and super comfortable over the 2hr road and gravel ride. I really like the ‘lightning flash’ design…there’s just enough white (very important in kit – some white looks great but too much is a major faux pas), The knicks are surprisingly light in weight – perfect for spring and summer – but hold their colour well when gently stretched to ensure no skin tones are showing through.
The orange leg gripper strip is a nice touch – more quality Italian fabric that feels great, is super comfortable and has no excessive stretch.
The jersey texture feels great on the skin, breaths well and holds perfect memory – springing back to shape if stretched. I like the isobars and subtle change of colour – from orange through to purple – down the jersey.
Overall: Very impressive and a unique Aussie product to add to your cycling kit.
